Last Sunday was like Miami weather in London. It was so beautiful that our plans to tour a museum had to be thrown in the closet for another day. We got a picnic lunch and sat in Hyde Park, savoring the beautiful rays of sunshine. Probably the most tanning I will get all summer, with the random rain and clouds...so I loved it!
We tried a new place for dinner, a noodle bar called Wagamama...it was interesting at first, ended up really liking it.
Majority of our evenings this week were taken up by the computer screen, trying to find flights and hotels for our traveling.
After work on Monday we went to see Shakespeare in the Park; Romeo and Juliet with work colleagues and some clients. We had dinner and champagne before the show and then watched the outstanding performance outside in the nice summer weather. It was pure bliss. So romantic, and kind of a shame that we all couldn't have cute boys with us ...instead we were just with some older women clients. Still a good time.
Work continued to go well throughout the rest of the week. I am starting a retail council, with the attempt of building our relationship with our retail clients and trying to meet them halfway by understanding where their trouble areas are and what we have in the company to help them. I am also working on this huge presentation/reception for Proctor and Gamble...kind of scary.
The supervisors took all of the interns to an amazing lunch on the roof terrace of this exclusive country club this week also. It was a great 3 hour break in the day...what a life. Wish that could be realistic for everyone and occur in all jobs.
Last night we went to see Wicked... it was bloody amazing. Made me wish I had some musical talent. Unfortunately I still do not have a lick of it. We will for sure be seeing more shows in the near future.
Emily, Danna, Ally and I are leaving for Amsterdam this weekend. I will try to sneak back some goodies for everyone...hah. We booked our flight there and back with no hotel. Then after trying for hours upon hours, we realized we might have to sleep on the streets... but no worries Danna came through as the hero with a place to stay! No sleeping on the streets for these chics. We have to remain classy - of course.
I have decided that I would love for someone to send me an illegal Mexican to cook me food ... I am missing quesadillas like major. We may try to find some tonight.. food that is, not an actual person. I. Am. So. Pumped.
